Architect practicing in his native city of New York. Drawing lines and creating spaces at WEISS / MANFREDI.
Intro
Matthew G Ferraro, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C is a Principal at WEISS/MANFREDI. He is a licensed architect and LEED accredited professional with over 20 years of experience.
A life-long New Yorker, Matt grew up in a two-family home in Glendale, Queens with his parents and grandparents all living under one roof. Affectionately nicknamed “Guy,” he learned from a young age the value of family, friendships, respect, knowledge, and dedication.
His hometown of Queens - the most ethnically diverse urban area in the world - inspired Matt’s early curiosity about environments and the people who inhabit them. During his education, studies in ecology would evolve into a passion for architecture where he combined his love for the arts, mathematics, society, culture, and science.
Today, Matt builds on these foundational principles with his approach to design. Projects offer him opportunities to explore the integration of various disciplines and histories — creating settings that are contextual, transformative, welcoming and meaningful to the identity and culture of their broader community.

Work
Over the last two decades, Matt has developed a diverse portfolio across a variety of project types, scales, and geographic locations. He began his experience with interior architecture at The Carman Group where he designed several private residences. He later worked and collaborated with technical experts at Heintges who engineer and design exterior façades for a multitude of complex buildings throughout the world. These valuable experiences established the foundations for his ability to design and manage projects that incorporate all factors of architecture, including landscape, urban design, art, and infrastructure, at WEISS/MANFREDI.
